MEMPHIS, TN — April 21, 2026 — Orion Financial (“Orion”) is proud to serve as the presenting sponsor of the 17th annual Orpheum High School Musical Theatre Awards (HSMTA), as nominees for this year’s celebration were officially revealed on Monday, April 20. The highly anticipated awards ceremony will take place Thursday, May 21 at 7:00 p.m. at the historic Orpheum Theatre, bringing together the region’s most talented high school performers for an unforgettable evening celebrating excellence in musical theatre.

This premier celebration will bring together students and supporters from 58 new high schools across the Mid-South, representing four states, to honor an outstanding season of high school musical theatre. As presenting sponsor, Orion Financial is honored to help elevate this signature event that showcases the creativity, dedication, and talent of the Mid-South’s young performers.

The evening will feature a red carpet experience and student participation across every aspect of production—from on-stage performances to backstage and orchestral roles. This year’s program will highlight revolutions in American history, featuring music from 1776, Hamilton, Ragtime, SUFFS, and more. Tickets go on sale May 4.
