Orion FCU Wins “Best Local Bank / Credit Union” Six Years Running in Best of Memphis Awards
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (Sept. 28, 2022) — Orion Federal Credit Union has been voted Memphis’ Best Local Bank/Credit Union for six years running by readers of The Memphis Flyer.
The title is based on votes from the Memphis community. Orion is proud to provide customer-focused products and services, exceptional service, financial literacy efforts, community support and a company-wide commitment to the Mid-South.

Orion hosted the Best of Memphis celebration near their headquarters in the newly renovated Ravine area, located in the Edge District. Orion moved its headquarters to the former Wonder Bread factory and settled as the cornerstone corporate tenant of the Edge District in 2019 in an effort to end blight and spur economic development. Since that time, the Edge development continues to grow, and the neighborhood serves as a great connector between downtown and the Memphis Medical District.
Orion’s philosophy is to collaborate to build a stronger, better-serving company which includes social responsibility and a commonsense effort to give back in the community. Orion’s strategy is a comprehensive approach of providing financial products and services that meet the needs of the community, support local non-profit organizations making an impact in our city, and enhancing economic development as an advocate for Memphis.
Over the past several years, Orion has supported well over 100 non-profits in the Memphis and Little Rock markets and has given more than $3 million in community support through their Orion Gives Back program.
